That was a cool observation.

Having taught at a Music Tech school, students would often ask about the tape vs. digital thing. The topic can be very virulent !!! LOL.

I’d explain that you could get a bunch of that tape sound by being aware of what tape’s limitations were, such as, noise, frequency response, analog circuitries inherent compression and distortion of signal, etc.

Things for them to try, in Pro Tools, could be AnalogChannel 1 & 2 from McDSP. Sweet !!!.

So yeah, I agree. Noise rocks !!!
